Role of the PSE
The School Health Promotion Service (PSE) of UCLouvain is a free and mandatory preventive medicine service that supports children throughout their schooling. Its role is to ensure the health and well-being of students in the school environment.
Actions and interventions
In kindergarten as in primary, the PSE intervenes on several fronts:
Health check-ups
Regular medical examinations throughout schooling
Screenings
Vision, hearing and other preventive screenings
Vaccinations
Monitoring and updating the vaccination schedule
Prevention
Prevention actions and management of health situations
Valuable support
- Ensuring the health and well-being of students in the school environment
